If we added a brand banner with navigation buttons, would it help customers find what they are looking for? I worked with a content development team in partnership with YETI to create a brand banner that would exist at the top of a YETI product search page. We shared design ideas and then I developed the banner with HTML/CSS. There was some hesitation with the mobile banner taking up the majority of the phone screen so we decided to test performance. After two weeks of testing, we saw an overall 17% increase in conversion rate between desktop and mobile user sessions. The banner was developed with the idea that the content development team could update buttons and images seasonally as requested by YETI.
